Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VantageDash ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

VantageDash is a competitive price intelligence platform that helps e-commerce brands monitor competitor pricing, match products using AI, and receive price change alerts. The Service includes a web application, API, and Shopify App Store integration.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
• One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service itself
• Resell or redistribute data obtained through the Service without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

5. Shopify Integration

If you install VantageDash from the Shopify App Store:

• You authorize us to access your store's product catalog data
• We access only the data scopes you approve during installation
• You can disconnect the integration at any time from Settings
• Upon uninstallation, we delete all associated store data within 48 hours per Shopify's requirements

6. Competitor Data

VantageDash collects publicly available product information from competitor websites. You are responsible for ensuring your use of competitive intelligence data complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction. The Service collects only publicly accessible data (product names, prices, images from public storefronts).

7. Subscription and Billing

• Free accounts include limited features as described on our pricing page
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe and renew automatically
• You can cancel your subscription at any time — access continues until the end of the billing period
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

8. Data Ownership

• Your data — you retain ownership of all data you upload or sync to the Service
• Competitor data — publicly available pricing data collected by the Service is provided as-is for your competitive analysis
• AI-generated insights — product matches and analytics generated by the Service are provided for informational purposes

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or security reasons. We will provide reasonable notice for planned downtime when possible.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. VantageDash shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
