Cosmetics & Beauty
Competitive pricing intelligence for beauty brands
In cosmetics, perceived value and price positioning can make or break a product launch. VantageDash monitors competitor pricing across serums, moisturizers, makeup, and haircare, matching by product type and size so you know exactly where you stand.
Without VantageDash
- 1
Competitors run flash sales and adjust MSRP seasonally (hard to track at scale)
- 2
Different sizes (30ml vs 1oz vs travel size) complicate direct comparison
- 3
Luxury brands and drugstore brands shouldn't be matched together
With VantageDash
Same type, same size
Sorts products into serums, moisturizers, cleansers, sunscreens, makeup, haircare and fragrance, and compares the same type and size. On paid plans, AI matching also weighs the key ingredient.
Luxury and drugstore kept apart
When matching by name, luxury and drugstore brands are kept apart, so a $180 cream is not paired with a $12 one. You can edit which brands are in each group.
Sizes in any unit
Reads ml, oz and fl oz, so a 30ml serum is compared with a 1oz one as the same size.

Common questions
How much does competitor price tracking cost for a cosmetics & beauty store?
VantageDash is free for 3 competitors and 50 products, then $19 a month for 10 competitors and 200 products or $49 for 25 and 500. Summit is $199 a month for unlimited competitors and products. Every account starts on the free plan with no credit card, and you can change or cancel your plan in Settings.
Which cosmetics & beauty stores can VantageDash read?
Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Square Online and Ecwid, and the platforms European shops run on: Shopware, PrestaShop, JTL, Gambio, plentymarkets, Magento, Lightspeed, Shoptet, Shoper, DanDomain, ePages, OpenCart and EKM, as well as custom-built shops. That goes for your own store and your competitors'. If a shop shows its prices publicly, VantageDash can usually track them. On 29 October 2026 we read 75 shops we had never read before, on 11 of these platforms, from our own server, the way a price check reads them: 74 read the first time and the last one after we fixed our reader. We compared 131 of their prices by hand with what the page shows a buyer: 128 were right, 129 after a second fix. That count leaves out 9 more: 8 had no shop to read and one refused our server. A competitor on Toast, or one that blocks automated visits, gets a free first read on every plan and is kept current on paid plans. Your own store is read on every plan. On any plan you can also add the products you care about by hand.
Does VantageDash change my prices?
No. VantageDash shows where your prices stand against your competitors and alerts you when theirs change. You decide what to do, and you change prices in your own store.
